Teri Azmat ko Salam..(Tribute to the Shaheeds of Pakistan)

It has been a week. A week of pain, grief, tears and sorrow. We have lost so much in this one week, but gained a lot more. PNS Mehran May 22nd incident… how can we forget. The day the nation cried, mothers wept on their prayer mats, men glued to the TV screens and youth finally waking up with one message… CHANGE. No longer shall we take this as our fate. We united to support our men in green who had given up their lives to ensure that no further harm came upon our nation. A nation in shock and grief has now become a nation wanting to take action.
Yes, Pakistan Navy may have lost 80% of their surveillance capabilities with the loss of our aircrafts in the PNS Mehran incident but we have gained 80% more motivation to support our armed forces. The messages that are emerging blaming the army, navy and air force calling this an inside job is all a scheme to cause disunity. But little do our enemies know that we as a nation will support our men in green no matter what.
I still remember the tears in the eyes of the great mother of Shaheed (martyred) Lt. Yaser and those 12 men who were shaheed that night. There is no award that we as a nation can give to the 12 of you that would be worthy of what you have done for us. I remember a line of an Army personnel " Mitti mein to sab ko miljana hai magar sawal to ye hai ke kon kya kar ke marta hai!" (Everyone has to get buried in this sand one day..the question is what you do before you die?) You have woken up the children of Quaid. Your martyrdom shall not go in vain. Thank you for giving up your lives to ensure ours are secure. With men like you in charge, I know that PAKISTAN will be PAINDABAD. The day is not far when 18 crore people of Pakistan will be one, in saying that we will not take no more of this foreign intruding in our affairs. We will say NO to those daily drone attacks. Pakistan is NO longer going to be collateral damage in your war on terror. It is just a matter of time now…
To our enemies (foreign and internal) Thank you! you have just woken up Iqbal’s nation! You have done more harm to yourself than to us. We have many more Yasers that you are not aware of, we take pride in our men, we take pride in our nation, we are Pakistanis and we will die but will NOT let you win! Victory shall be for the people of Pakistan, InshaAllah. We are the nation who have men who say,

If I Die on the Battle Zone - Box me up and Send me Home

Put my Rifle on my Chest - Tell my Mom "I did my Best"

Tell My Nation Not To Cry - I was a Soldier Born to Die

Allah o Akbar! Pakistan Zindabad! Pakistan Armed Forces Paindabad!

- A message from the awakened YOUTH of Pakistan

Heaven on Earth..

Pakistan in not always to be known as a war torn country, but it also has many things to offer which the world is not really awared about. Pakistan - Heaven on Earth!

Gilgit Baltistan (Formerly known as Gilgit)

The Northern Area is the most spectacular and fascinating region of Pakistan. It is here that the world's three famous mountain ranges meet - the Himalayas, the Karakorams and the Hindukush. The whole Northern Pakistan has come to be known as a paradise for mountaineers, climbers, trekkers, hikers and anglers of the most famous “Trout fish”.

In the northern regions of Pakistan, at a stone's throw from the Amu Darya, is” Bam-e-Dunya” (the roof of the world). This was the name given to the great Pamir plateau, apex of six of the mightiest mountain ranges of the world.

The historic Karakoram pass 5,575 metres, an ancient trading route between Kashmir and Xinjiang, gives its name to the range west of it that forms the watershed between the Indus and the Central Asian deserts. The eastern boundary of the Karakoram is the upper Shyok River from where it extends over 322 km. westwards to the Karumbar river and the Hindukush range. To the north the Shaksgam tributary of the Yarkand River and south by the Indus bound the Karakoram. Here, the Nanga Parbat 8,126 metres massif is the western anchor of the great Himalayan range which stretches in an arc 24,124 km. east to Burma, a boundary and barrier, "the razor's edge" which for centuries has determined the destiny of the Indian sub-continent.

Kaghan - Naran - Balakot

Kaghan is a jewel among the many beautiful valleys in the Mansehra District of Hazara in the North West Frontier Province of Pakistan. This 160 kilometer long valley is most popular summer holiday spots for both Pakistanis as well as foreigners.

The valley features pine forests, alpine meadows, crystal clear lakes and cool mountain streams. Kunhar River, the main feature of the valley, is famous for its trout. Nestled along the banks of the river are the towns of Balakot, Paras, Mahandari, Kaghan and Naran. The local people are friendly and simple. Gujar nomads are one of the most interesting features of the Kaghan Valley. They take their herds of cattle to the high pastures of the upper Kaghan Valley in spring and bring them down again in autumn. While going to Kaghan you will find them camped along the road in their traditional tents or moving up and down the valley with their herds of pack animals, sheep and goats.

Truck Art of Pakistan

Indigenous Truck Art

The under-appreciated, indigenous Pakistani tradition of truck painting has an extraordinary history, starting in the days of the Raj. As early as the 1920′s, competing transportation companies would hire craftsmen to adorn their buses in the hopes that these moving canvases would attract more passengers. The technique worked so well that pretty soon you couldn’t purchase a ticket without seeing dozens of beautifully painted trucks waiting to take you to your destination. While the art doesn’t serve the same purpose anymore, it is still as prevalent as ever and has become more intricate and developed a deeper cultural significance over time.

Even though truck art isn’t unique to Pakistan anymore, nowhere else in the world is the practice so pervasive. In a country where the per capita income is barely north of $2,000, it is surprising to see fleet owners (the trucks aren’t owner-operated) spend $3,000-$5,000 per truck for structural modifications that convert these gas-guzzling, smoke-spewing, road-dominating monstrosities into beautiful moving canvases covered in poetry, folk tales, and religious, sentimental and emotional worldviews of the individuals employed in the truck industry making it one of the biggest forms of representational art in the country.

I Owe you...

This is a letter what every patriotic pakistani would write to its mother country PAKISTAN!

Dear Pakistan,

I dont know what to write to you as I know you are not happy with me. I also know that its all sadness and tears that I have given you all these years, but you were always there for me. You were there the moment I was born and gave me the identity of Pakistani. But I didn't take care of this prestigious identity given by you.

Please forgive me for being ignorant when external forces bombard your Northern region every single day in the name of eliminating terrorism and kill thousands of innocent people who even may not be know what exactly is terrorism.

Please forgive me for closing my eyes when the corrupt politician are selling off your reserves and looting your money to foreign banks.

Please forgive me to keep my mouth shut when there is injustice on your land against my brothers and sisters.

Today, I have made your image as one of the worst livable country in the world. The Third most corrupted country in the world and one of the most threatful country.

But I know you are not any one of them because I love you. One day the world would know your real image, the image what Quaid-e-Azam gave you. The image of Faith, Unity and Discipline. You would one day become again the dream of Allama Iqbal. Maybe I see darkness today but I see sunrise ahead. The youth of Pakistan is the sunrise. I believe we would rise one day and this world would know you with a new Perspective. InshAllah!

Yours Sincerely,

Youth of Pakistan
